Anna Cook
- Chair

Anna Cook has been a member of the Matrix Committee since 2006. Recently retired from a career in secondary teaching, counselling and nursing, she is the current chair of the committee. She has worked enthusiastically to support older lesbians and looks forward to being involved in future Matrix initiatives.

Sara Elkas
– Treasurer

Sara identifies as a Jewish lesbian feminist and was active in the Women’s Liberation Building in the 1980s and early 1990s. She is an occupational therapist and works for the Victorian State Government. Sara is a foundation member of the Matrix Guild of Victoria Inc and has been in the role of Public Officer/Financial Co-ordinator for more years then she cares to remember.

Anneke Deutsch
– Housing Convenor

Anneke Deutsch joined Matrix to help realize the dream of her friend Heather Chapple - to create affordable and accessible housing for older lesbians. In addition to putting her lesbian feminist efforts into Matrix she also works towards a world powered by renewable energy. She is retired from a career as a prosthetist and hopes to return to sculpture sometime she can extract herself from her laptop.

Anneke Deutsch

Sharon Stanton
– Events Coordinator

Sharon Stanton has been with Matrix for 5 years, has a passion for all genres of music, and coordinates the fundraising dances held by the Matrix guild twice a year. She also works full time as a director of her own company, is a manager part time for group housing for young adults with an intellectual disability, and twice a month with her partner Andrea operates SHEBAR which is a dance and entertainment for the women’s community.

Sharon Stanton

Sue Leigh

Sue Leigh is a feminist lesbian activist. Retired from paid work she now has time to devote her days to subverting the patriarchy. Sue is passionate about social justice and human rights including the right of older women to secure and affordable housing.
